I usually wear baseball caps but they are not always the most appropriate. As my hair is thinning on top, a cap is essential so this flat cap is a useful addition. I ordered XL which fits my large head well. It has an adjuster at the back to ensure a good fit. I'm not entirely sure what to do with the adjuster, I think you just pull it and friction keeps it in place. You could tie the two ends together but that would leave a lump at the back of your head. Without a knot, you have the adjuster hanging down the back of your head unless you remember to tuck it back inside every time you put it on. Being linen, it arrives very creased and even after wearing it the creases haven't gone. Maybe they have, but it creases easily so new creases have appeared. Currently priced at £21.99, it's about 4 x what I'd normally pay for an unbranded baseball cap so I find it quite expensive but I'm sure there are much more expensive versions available of similar quality.

Forget the advertising - it’s a standard cheesecutters cap - I can pick this up at a tourist stall for around the same price. So, I have given a good but not great 3 star rating. But, the colour is nice. It’s just not ‘breathable’ or special in anyway, which is why I docked stars. Don’t exaggerate what a product is, and I wont’ dock stars in frustration. Absolutely fine, good (thus 3 stars) cheesecutters cap, nothing terrible, nothing spectacular.

I am somewhat new to the flat cap world. To date I've been mainly a baseball cap guy with the occasional cowboy hat and winter survival hats in there for their unique reasons. But having decided to take control of my "hair narrative" I recently went all out and all bald. In doing so my wife said I could have a great hat collection, so we are off and running. Never knew there was such a large world of hats out there, but as I've been learning, I've found a range of price points and quality (as in most things) and try to go with hats that I not only find good looking, but fit a role (summer, cooler, rain/wet gear, fall, winter, you get the point). and to that end, saw and decided to grab this TOP-EX L/XL/XXL 100% Natural Linen Flat Cap to add into the collection. I am truly glad I did. Okay, so it's at what I'd call a lower price point, but the quality here stands up. No, this is not like the out-of-Ireland flat caps I've got my eye on. But it's nice nonetheless and has a great look, weight, and feel. Out of the bag it is as nice looking as the product page picture. I love the color and variety of color options I can match it too. My dad had one light blue flat cap he wore every day, everywhere. That was great for him. But my head needs various cool/heat abilities to keep my head comfortable, and finding oneself matching outfits or moods is far more common these days. It's a great linen feel and look, with the beige top and blue inside - complementing each other nicely. The materials are as comfy on as they look. I've not had the chance to wear it out and about yet, but for the amount of time I've had it, I'm comfortable saying I'll be comfortable wearing it out on warmer to hotter days. There is a small set of strings at the back on the inside to allow for adjusting size. I'm not the biggest fan of this set up. I'm not ready to "commit" to a set size - tying them off where I want the hat to stay size wise. So I'm pulling them tight pretty often to keep a set size. Again, I'm not ready to commit as I get the feel for tightness - that perfect, adjusting, getting the feel process can take me a few wears. And I feel like these ties are so small that once tied tight to hold that size I'm not going to want to mess around with untying and redoing - I mean these things are tiny in my not-so-large fingers, so bigger guys beware. That said, it's a nice enough cap I'm going to go with it and deal. So far I have found a pretty good setting, I've just not committed yet. On it looks and feels great. While my taste and opinion are always important to me, my wife's opinion on look is vital to me. If she doesn't like how I look I'll usually change things up. With this TOP-EX L/XL/XXL 100% Natural Linen Flat Cap she's very happy with it's look and how it looks on me. In the end I am really happy. It's a great cap and I have every intention of getting as much use out of it as I can.

FINALLY! A brand that caters to my specific demographic, people with stupidly large heads. This is a really rad hat and it actually fits. Unlike most of these driving caps, this one is actually made for the warmer weather and it feels great... no sweltering in wool here! The material is a breathable cotton/linen with a subtle herringbone pattern that gives the fabric some movement and character. There's also this thin lining that does a good job of wicking sweat. Neither fabric is too thick, so you're never trapping warm air against your head. As far as looks go, it's an awesome hat. The brim isn't comically big like some of these caps and the whole thing has a sleek vibe to it that's not overly dressy or casual. Size is pretty true to size according to the COMPANY'S size chart, so be aware that your normal hat size may not line up with theirs. I made that mistake and actually got a hat that was TOO big for me, which never happens. Luckily A. linen shrinks in the wash, so i was able to run the hat through a quick cycle and size it down a bit and B. there's a little drawstring inside that helps me size things correctly. Why ALL hats like this don't have a drawstring is absolutely BEYOND me, as it's a super clever (and useful) idea. The hat looks great with jeans and a button down or a casual suit, and i will probably be getting more in other colors... but paying attention to the size chart from now on, ha.

The media could not be loaded. Lately these flat caps have gotten a little more popular due to shows like Peaky Blinders, etc. They look great on anybody and lend an effortless old school cool style. I think these ivy caps look cute on women too, so I got one for myself to wear. The diameter of my head is 21.5" (22" is the average for an adult woman in the USA, UK and Australia) and this fits me perfectly! I got it in what the brand calls the Med-Large size and it fits great. This brand has quality caps. They are made well with great attention to detail. Comes in a decent variety of sizes too. I love this for summer too because it is made of linen lined with cotton so it is nice and lightweight and breathes very well and doesn't make my head sweat. Plus, it gives a nice eye shade comparable to a baseball cap. This cap works with practically any outfit too, from casual to dressy. With a dressy suit just add this hat and suspenders (what they call braces on the other side of the the pond). Maybe even a bow-tie if you want to be extra quirky? Or maybe that might not be your style. This seems like it will work for a wide variety of styles IMHO. Looks awesome. Don't hesitate, this is well made and a great value. Recommended!

This is a pretty ok cap. With the choice in fabric to make this a 'cooling' cap, there aren't make options that would make this hat feel good. I know this is entirely subjective, but the hat doesn't feel right with the fabric. It's almost papery, having a stiffness that feels on the verge of crinkling. It fit though which was great except the size adjustment is using two strings to tighten it. It took me about a dozen tries before I got the hat size right, the strings are really difficult to set and secure without losing your sizing. Once tied, though, there is another side effect of using strings - it's a very noticeable single point of tension on the head. I'm a daily hat wearer of many different types and all my hats have a band that contacts my bald head. There is a band here, too, but the string is the main source of tension and that tension is concentrated on that string instead of the band overall. My experience is totally subjective, what I find as issues may not bother others so I didn't drop the rating because of that. It's still a decent cap that would work for many people. I'm just not one of them, this will be relegated to a backup cap at this point.

It's a simple flat cap, but it's comfortable. I like the fact that it has a decent sized sweatband on the inside all the way around, I have a couple caps that just don't have one, and while they're good looking caps, they just aren't as comfortable. The linen material should be nice during the summer - though it's lined so we'll see how well it wicks. The two quibbles I have are that because it's linen, it wrinkles really badly, and showed up with some pretty heavy wrinkles. Second quibble is that if it wasn't the right size for my head, the adjustment method is terrible. It's a string with the ends coming out of the sweat band at the back. At 20 bucks it's a good purchase, for a nice little cap.
